In 1950 Hagibor was given to the State Hospital Vinohrady, which used the building until after the fall of Communism. Some of these Survivors are clients of Hagibor today. In one instance the wife of the Israeli Ambassador came to visit and now is a regular volunteer. These events also include some interreligious dialogue. We receive a lot of help from our Czech and international volunteers, who support our clients in many practical and emotional ways. It is one of the major tasks of modern society to talk about our history and to especially encourage the younger generation to learn about the history of the Shoah and to carry the lessons into the future.
She was weak and she had mild hallucinations but for the most part she was alert and stable. Over the next two months, she deteriorated mentally and physically. She believed that cats were running around her room. She was talking to people who weren't there. She was certain that they were poisoning her food. In the latter case, she stopped eating and became weaker.

I must say that if I will ever need care of this type, I would like to go in this facility. My older brother is currently a resident in the nursing home, and is in the final stage of Parkinson's. I have never seen any kindness or quality care given my brother since he arrived.
Working closely with Isabella’s rehabilitation services, residents are encouraged to do exercises that may help them use oxygen more efficiently. Isabella's state-of-the-art ventilator unit provides acute respiratory assistance to residents whose health needs require it, with an emphasis on weaning residents off ventilators.

The dining area was clean; the food was fresh and at the appropriate temperature and someone came to pick up the food trays within a reasonable amount of time. Overall my visit with my friend was extremely pleasant and I felt that she was getting the best possible care since no one was able to be with her 24 hours a day. Isabella offers a safe, caring environment for adults at all stages of dementia or Alzheimer’s disease. Our dementia program is nationally accredited by Comfort Matters and is an award-winning program that encourages personalized care for residents with dementia. This program includes offering individualized dining experiences, culturally sensitive programs, flexible bathing and living schedules, 24-hour visiting options, etc. I had surgery on my knee and had it done three times, so I was in three large facilities in Manhattan here.
We have 20 certified ventilator beds, 16 respiratory transition beds and a specially trained, inter-disciplinary team of professionals to treat, monitor and assist each resident. The rehabilitation therapy team and nursing staff provide a comprehensive therapy program that will help reinforce skills learned in our rehabilitation suite. My grandpa says that he feels great there and that the staff is really good. I have seen by myself that the staff is well educationed and organized. They pay attention to all of their patients equally.
Legal and Government Services
I am sort of a gourmet so obviously it didn't quite match that. It was obviously mass produced, but considering the place where I was, it was OK, but not great. I think the building went back to the 1950s, but they had remodeled and painted it. The bed was motorized, so it was a contemporary bed, and there was an adjacent bathroom which had a bath tub, a shower, a sink, and a toilet. They were very good about putting clean towels in there.
Symbols such as the Star of David are real and have an historical continuity. Other badges such as the Nazi swastika, symbolize the evil ideas beyond human understanding, appearing from a void in human history. Understanding our past, its stories, and its symbols can be an opportunity to think about our existence and the meaning of life. We certainly can learn a lot from Shoah survivors who went through extreme life situations and are now sharing their stories with the larger community. Hagibor is proud to be part of this interaction when the personal stories of survivors can help others to understand the real history.
This location and its surroundings have a long history with the Jewish community. The building was first used as a nursing home in 1911 and later focused on nursing care for the elderly, remaining in operation until 1943. The cost of both of these services was covered by the Jewish community of Prague and by private donors. It has been just two years since a new project called Hagibor was initiated, once again making Hagibor a place of great importance for the Jewish community of Prague. Primary care clinics provide day-to-day healthcare services to patients. Primary care acts as the principal point of continuous healthcare for patients and also coordinates specialist care as may be required by the patient.
They just showed up while I was talking to her, put all her stuff in bags and moved her two doors down. They claimed it was to make room and separate the covid-19 patients from the non-infected patients. Both her first and last room were in the covid-19 floor so they upset her for no decent reason. The next week, I waited to be admitted to see her.
